SEPAC Parent Experience Survey

Welcome.
This survey is for parents and guardians of students receiving special education support in Conroe ISD.

SEPAC is a parent-led advisory group, not part of the district. We use your responses to identify patterns and system-wide concerns, not to handle individual cases. Please do not include your child’s full name, date of birth, or any other identifying information.

First, we’d like to collect some basic information so we can understand trends across campuses and feeder zones.

Your Experience

In this section, please share a specific experience or situation you feel comfortable talking about. Do not include your child’s full name or other identifying details. General information about needs or disability category is okay if it helps explain the situation.

Advocacy Priorities & Involvement

These last questions help SEPAC understand where to focus our efforts and how (if at all) you’d like to be involved.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Parent voices like yours help SEPAC identify patterns, advocate for change, and create resources that better support all families in Conroe ISD.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SEPAC?

SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) is a parent-led advisory group that works in partnership with Conroe ISD to improve the experiences of students receiving special education services. We listen to families, identify district-wide concerns, and collaborate with CISD leadership to strengthen support for all students.

Is SEPAC part of Conroe ISD?

No. SEPAC is an independent, parent-driven group. We work with the district but are not governed by or financially supported by CISD.

Why are you collecting parent stories and experiences?

Parent experiences help SEPAC understand patterns, trends, and barriers across campuses.
We use this information to shape our advocacy priorities, develop resources, and make recommendations to CISD that reflect real parent needs.

Will SEPAC intervene in my individual situation?

No. SEPAC is not able to manage individual cases or influence decisions made during your ARD process.
We use the information you share to identify system-wide needs rather than to address single situations.

How will my information be used?

We use submissions to:

Identify district-wide patterns and concerns

Guide SEPAC’s advocacy and communication with CISD

Develop parent education and support resources

Help improve the special education experience for all families

Your story may be referenced anonymously in summaries shared with CISD leadership or in SEPAC reports.

Is my child’s personal information safe?

Yes. We ask you not to include your child’s full name, date of birth, or identifiable details.
All submissions are reviewed privately by the SEPAC Executive Committee and stored securely within our internal system.

Can I stay anonymous?

To ensure we understand trends by campus or feeder zone, we collect some basic demographic information.
However, your story will always be summarized without identifying you or your child.

Can I fill this out even if I’ve never attended a SEPAC meeting?

Absolutely. All CISD parents of children receiving special education services are welcome to share their experiences with SEPAC.
